It’s Safety Town! Summer Camp
This camp is especially designed for kids ages 5-6 who are heading to school. Each day’s activities include visits from policemen, firefighters, and other community helpers to get your child on the right track to safety at school and home. The camp is led by the Baton Rouge Safety Town Director.

Louisiana Reining Horse Show
The top reining horses from all surrounding areas will meet to compete for a chance to compete in the LRHA National Championship. The Louisiana Reining Horse Show provides $29,000 in prize money. Cotton Land Cluster of Dog Shows
The show includes four all breed dog shows and thirteen specialty dog shows. The 2007 show featured dogs from 42 states, Canada, Mexico, and Costa Rica. Many of the dogs that participate continue to compete in New York’s televised broadcast of the Westminster Dog Show. Proceeds from the show go to Ouachita Parish Sheriffs Canine Unit and Veterinary Medicine Scholarships at LSU and Mississippi State.
