You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown
September 4th — 7th
Don’t miss the final weekend of performances of the family-friendly musical, “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown”! This beloved classic brings the Peanuts you know and love to life through charming vignettes, catchy songs, and heartfelt moments. Follow Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus, Sally, and Schroeder as they navigate the joys and struggles of childhood with humor, honesty, and a whole lot of heart. Find out what happiness is with friends and family of all ages during this quick-paced and spunky show. Performances at Strauss Theatre Center are September 4th, 5th, & 6th at 7PM and September 7th at 2PM.
Live Original Conference

Calling all sisters and friends — get ready for Live Original Sister Conference 2025! Join Sadie Robertson Huff for a 2-day conference at the Monroe Civic Center. This weekend will be filled with special guest speakers, live music, and fellowship with all kinds of wonderful women.
Biedenharn Garden Cinema: School of Rock
September 12th, Doors open at 6:45PM
Kick off the school year with the Biedenharn Garden Cinema’s viewing of School of Rock. Bring picnic blankets and lawn chairs for the whole family as you kick back in Elsong Garden and watch the hilarious and fun-filled movie! No movie is complete without popcorn, which you can purchase for $1 a bag, or grab a bite from the featured food vendor The Silver Spoon.
The River Market
September 13th, 9AM — 1PM
The Downtown River Market is back! Explore unique vendors, enjoy tasty local food, and take in the view along the river. This is the perfect Saturday event for good vibes and great finds. Shop til you drop or just enjoy the view of the Ouachita River. Bring your family and friends to this lively event!
Grape Stomp Celebration
September 13th, 3:30PM — 7PM
Throw out your dancing shoes because you won’t need to wear any for this exciting event. Ladies dress like Lucille Ball from the famous episode of “I Love Lucy” where she stomps grapes. Lisa Spann & Company will be accompanying the festivities with classic rock. Wine by the glass and bottle, wine tastings, and peach bellinis will be available. Local food trucks will be serving meals. Enjoy amazing live music, local wine and food, and stomp the night away!
School House Rock Live! Jr.
September 13th — 14th; September 20th — 21st
Based on the ever-popular, award-winning 1970s cartoons, this fast-paced musical teaches lessons with clever, catchy tunes. Your favorite songs such as “Three is a Magic Number”, “Just a Bill”, “Conjunction Junction” and more come to life on the Strauss Youth Academy for the Arts stage. Catch performances at 2PM or 7PM on September 13th & 14th or at 3PM on September 14th & 21st.
Restaurant Week

Your taste buds are in for a treat this September 15th-21st for MWM Restaurant Week! This week is meant to celebrate the incredible food and hardworking chefs of Monroe-West Monroe. Twenty-seven locally owned restaurants are offering fixed-price menu options for lunch, dinner, or lagniappe—a new addition this year perfect for breakfast, sweet treats, coffee, and more! Whether you’re craving something new or want a fresh twist from your favorite local spot, check out the Twin Cities’ culinary scene this week.
River Rat Paddle Challenge
September 20th, 8:30AM — 2PM
Calling all River Rats! The 9th Annual River Rat Paddle Challenge is happening this September. Bring your paddleboard, kayak, or canoe and travel down the Ouachita River to the finish line. The race is 7.7 miles long and includes multiple divisions, but a non-timed “fun paddle” has been added this year. The Mini Mouse Paddle is only 2.9 miles and ends at the same Lazarre Park location.
ULM vs. Arkansas State
September 27th
Grab your Warhawk gear and get your talons out! ULM Football is officially back and the Warhawks are taking on the Arkansas State Red Wolves. Fans wear maroon at this homecoming showdown! Head to Malone Stadium and cheer for your favorite team.
Ark-La-Miss Fair
September 26th — October 5th
It’s fall fair fun time! The annual Ark-La-Miss Fair is back in town at the Ike Hamilton Expo Center. Bring the whole family for carnival rides, snack booths, exciting games, livestock shows, and much more! Don’t miss this week of fun right here in the Twin Cities.
