Rent a kayak and get an up-close look at the wildlife in the lake or walk through the forested wetland. Grab your binoculars because this is one of the best places to go birding in Louisiana.

Restoration Park and Forsythe Park are local favorites when it comes to getting outdoors for a walk. Their walking trails make for a peaceful stroll through nature. Or bring your bike and get adventurous on Highland Park Wetlands biking trail.

Monroe-West Monroe is home to some great local musicians and lucky for you, fall is lined up with some great musical performances. Ouachita Live Concerts run the last Friday of September and October in Alley Park. Enjoy live music, food trucks, and spirits. The best part though? The concert is free!

Wine and live music - it doesn’t get much better. Landry Vineyards hosts concerts throughout the fall season and they are not to be missed. Hear live music by local bands, sip on delicious wine, and eat from local food trucks. Bring your dancing shoes and get ready to boogie the day away.
