Hot Coffee Spots in Monroe-West Monroe (Where You Can Also Get Cold Coffee)

There are no known IV options yet, but here are some places where you can buy it in a cup.

Yes, we have two Starbucks locations. Correct, we have a new CC’s Coffeehouse. Indeed, Chick-fil-a now serves Iced and Frosted Coffee, and it’s amazing. But have you checked out many of our local coffee shops? They are extraordinarily unique, with delicious coffee drinks and other treats that you can’t find at a chain restaurant. Here are 5 great coffee stops in Monroe-West Monroe:

Latin Food—1102 Thomas Rd., West Monroe, LA

With extravagant Honduran meals and a small storefront with hole-in-the-wall appeal, you might not look at this place and think, “I’m going to order coffee.” Change that. Their Cuban coffee is a local favorite. Lightly sweetened, piping hot, and topped with foam, this coffee is served alongside traditional Honduran meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can also order a traditional espresso, sweetened or dry.

roeLA Roaster—523 Desiard St., Monroe, LA

A fairly new coffee shop located in downtown Monroe, this place roasts their own coffee beans to create their own distinct coffee creations. Their Creola coffee can be found at grocery stores and locations throughout Ouachita Parish, but try it in house for a fresh taste. Try their Nitro Voodoo coffee (not only delicious, but highly Instagrammable). Like it sweet? Make it a Horchata Nitro Voodoo, which adds vanilla sugar, vanilla bean, and cinnamon to the stout drink.

Corner Coffeehouse—207 Blanchard St. West Monroe, LA

This place (literally on the corner of Blanchard Center) has tons of variety when it comes to coffee drinks. Their menu includes lattes, breve, cappuccinos, and frappucinos. Their mochaccino is a perfect sweet pick-me-up on a hot day. The chai latte can come hot, iced, or blended. Their breakfast menu includes kolaches and in the afternoon, they have sweet treats.

Union Mill Coffee—Various locations

This pop-up stand shows up at local events and outdoor locations all the time. They’re adored by the locals, and wherever they set up shop, people will be there. They serve several types of coffee drinks including traditional espresso, lattes, and cold brews. Like their Facebook page for updates on their location… they might show up right next to you! Also, you can hire the stand for weddings, parties, corporate gatherings, or any event that you need quality coffee for. I’m hoping that Monday mornings at my house count.

The Coffee Bean—2501 Broadmoor Blvd., Monroe, LA

This quaint little restaurant has an astounding breakfast menu, featuring everything from pancakes to omelets, cinnamon rolls to kolaches, and even French toast! Their coffee menu is just as full, with cappuccinos, lattes, and more. They even serve lunch! Check out their Facebook page for more information.

Daily Press—2899 Sterlington Rd., 2300 Louisville Rd., 1115 Garrett Rd., Monroe, LA

With three locations to choose from, Daily Press is already extremely convenient—not to mention that it’s also a convenience store. Stop in here for any kind of coffee. Their hot coffee is located in the store where you can make it yourself exactly how you like. Their cold coffee drinks are made to order, and they can be ordered through a specialized kiosk located separately from their regular order kiosks. This also lets you customize your coffee to make sure that you get exactly what you want. They also have a great breakfast selection until 10:30a.m., lunch, dinner (at some locations), and frozen yogurt. Since it’s also a gas station, you can fill up on gas or grab snacks for later, making this the perfect one-stop shop.

Miss Kay’s Sweets and Eats—401 Trenton St, West Monroe, LA 71291

A branch of the Duck Commander legacy, this little shop is filled with desserts and creations straight out of the Robertson family cookbook. In here you'll find Miss Kay's biscuits as well as Phil's pralines. The restaurant now serves lunch also. It's included on this list because of the wide coffee selections. They have a fun, outdoor seating area with checkers and cornhole. And bonus: When you visit this place, you just might run into a member of the Duck Dynasty.

For all of the coffee lovers out there, Monroe-West Monroe has an endless selection of options. Check out these places, and let us know what you think!
