Coming to Anapolé Gallery Memorial Day Weekend (May 28-30): oil painting workshop with renowned artist Guido Frick.
Workshop information: 3 days (outside if weather will allow). Sessions will last about 6 hours each day with a one hour lunch break.
Day 1- introduction and theoretical lesson on how to paint, followed by a still life demonstration. After lunch participants paint still life (each student should bring their own set up for still life. Suggested: flowers, fruits, and props)
Day 2- Landscape demo with theoretical lesson, followed by a quick demonstration. There will be an exercise on a small panel before lunch, followed by painting on 20x24 or 24x30.
Day 3- Demonstration of brushwork, followed by all day landscape painting.
Daily sessions end with critique.
Fee: $550. $300 deposit due 4 weeks before start of the workshop (Thursday, April 28), remaining balance due the morning before workshop starts. Full reimbursement in case workshop needs to be cancelled by organizer, no refund after deposit deadline (but substitute student allowed).
