The 7th New Music on the Bayou Festival is taking place May 31-June 3 across venues in Monroe and Ruston. At the New Music on the Bayou Festival, composers and performers intersect over the course of an intense multi-day series of rehearsals, presentations, and concerts. This year, over 40 composers have traveled to Northeast Louisiana to hear 9 concerts performed by 30 different performers from across the region and beyond in iconic spaces like Flying Tiger Brewery, Black Bayou National Wildlife Refuge and the campuses of ULM and Louisiana Tech.
Join the performers Impatient Youth, the Contralto Recitative with Angel Chorus, Evocations, Help Find My Colors, and Four Flips at the Downtown Gallery Crawl on Thursday, June 1 at 6:30 PM for a New Music on the Bayou Concert. Moving from piece to piece, the first performance will be at the end of Art Alley, then one in the grassy area next to the Palace, and lastly, two pieces in the main area of Antique Alley. Each performer has a unique style and sound that you do not want to miss!
