Tourism Development Program. All organizations must submit their completed application by January 10 or July 10.

The STS Marketing College is attended by tourism industry professionals from all over the Southeast for a week of
educational training designed to teach marketing techniques from all facets of the tourism industry. One scholarship
is awarded each year to a tourism industry professional working in Ouachita Parish.
The Lt. Governor's Tourism Summit offers the opportunity for Louisiana tourism professionals to learn valuable
marketing information and network with other industry professionals from around the state. One scholarship is
awarded each year to a tourism industry professional working in Ouachita Parish.
The Monroe-West Monroe Convention and Visitors Bureau will be offering one scholarship to include most all
expenses to attend the Christmas Expo including the Light-O-Rama Immersion two day workshop. The intentions
for establishing the scholarship is to integrate the technology and creativity in developing an attraction
during the holiday season that draws visitors to the Monroe-West Monroe area.
Any event occurring in Ouachita Parish that is open to the public and is determined as a tourist attraction by our
Communications Department qualifies for a listing in our Calendar of Events. Under some instances, events in
surrounding parishes may also qualify for listing. If you have an event you would like considered for our
