Monroe-West Monroe is the proud home of the Robertsons, America’s favorite bearded family and stars of A&E’s hit show Duck Dynasty. From a love of duck hunting, Phil Robertson built the foundation for what is now a multi-million dollar and internationally known brand, Duck Commander. The latter is mostly due to the entrepreneurial spirit of Willie Robertson, Phil’s son and CEO of the company.
Along with Willie and Phil, Jase, Jep, Uncle Si, Miss Kay, Martin, Godwin, Korie, Missy, Jessica and the rest of the gang have become an international phenomenon. However, that doesn’t go to their heads. Living life the Robertson way can be summed up in three words. "Faith, Family, and Ducks.” It’s this mantra that helps the family remain the same down-to-earth folks they have always been.
Duck Commander Museum
Learn about the Robertson story in a self-guided tour of 10,000 square feet of galleries featuring Duck Commander and Duck Dynasty memorabilia. Walk through 17 galleries featuring family artifacts and pictures, set recreations and costumes from the hit television show Duck Dynasty, and enjoy a sensorial experience on a duck hunt with the Duckmen of Louisiana.

Homemade Banana Pudding
In the top of a double boiler over simmering water, melt the butter. Whisk in the sugar, flour and salt. Add the milks and stir continuously until the mixture thickens. This may take 30 to 40 minutes. Once it's thickened, stir a little into the egg yolks. This will temper the yolks and keep them from cooking too fast. Stir the tempered egg yolks into the mixture in the double boiler and cook, stirring, until when you pull out the spoon, the mixture does not drip. Remove the top from the double boiler. Stir in the vanilla. Spread a little of the pudding in the bottom of the casserole. Top with the vanilla wafers. Slice the bananas in rounds, dip them lightly in lemon juice to preserve their freshness, and place on the wafers. Pour the remaining pudding on top. If you like, add more vanilla wafers to the top of the pudding and add spoonfuls of whipped topping. To be really fancy, layer the pudding, bananas, and vanilla wafers in nice drinking glasses and add a little whipped topping. Makes 8 servings.
