Attn: Wine Lovers. This is a fun way to spend your time, because not only do you get to try several of Landry Vineyards’ different wines, but you also get to see how it’s made. Hop on a golf cart, and cruise through their vineyard. See the plants up close, and learn how the Landry’s grow their grapes. Walk through the winery, and see the process of crafting their wines. Experience History at Chennault Aviation and Military Museum

This museum is a sparkling gem in our area, and it’s one of the great ways to learn about our area’s history. If you’re a ULM student or alumni, then this museum is a MUST. Learn about the inspiration for the Warhawk mascot—General Claire Lee Chennault. For military folks, there are tons of stories from war, ranging from ironic to reverent. Spoiler alert: Delta Airlines started in Monroe at Selman Air Force Base which was right in Monroe. You and your friends will be proud of your town after leaving this museum. Sip a Glass Coke at Biedenharn Museum and Gardens

This one can satiate the taste of many people, and not just because it’s a Coca-Cola museum. Bring a group of friends here, because there is something for everyone. Learn how Coke was bottled right here in Monroe in the first of several museums. Next, see a beautiful, vintage home, kept pristine from the time of Emy-Lou Biedenharn. Then the Bible museum carries unique Bible manuscripts and beautiful, Bible-inspired art work. Finally, finish the visit in the lovely EL-Song Gardens.
