Capital Improvement Project Grant

Tourism Development grants are available to existing 501 (c) organizations in compliance with the procedures in this Tourism Development Program.
All organizations must submit their completed application by January 10 or July 10. Applications must be completed through the online portals linked above.

The STS Marketing College is attended by tourism industry professionals from all over the Southeast for a week of educational training designed to teach marketing techniques from all facets of the tourism industry. Governor's Tourism Summit offers the opportunity for Louisiana tourism professionals to learn valuable marketing information and network with other industry professionals from around the state. Any event occurring in Ouachita Parish that is open to the public and is determined as a tourist attraction by our Communications Department qualifies for a listing in our Calendar of Events. Under some instances, events in surrounding parishes may also qualify for listing. If you have an event you would like considered for our website calendar of events, please submit your event using our online form. We also welcome photos or news articles relating to your event, should you wish to submit additional information with your form or receive notices for state and national calendar listings please contact Sheila Snow at (318) 387-5691 or e-mail your questions to ssnow@monroe-westmonroe.org.

If you are the organizer for an event that has been in existence for at least 3 years, and draws crowds of 1,000 or more people, your event qualifies for consideration into the STS Top 20 Events. If you have an event coming up that you think is newsworthy and you'd like the CVB to help you get the word out, fill out our press release request form by downloading the PDF at the bottom of this page.
