Growing Something Special at Landry Vineyards
At Landry Vineyards, the wine may bring you in - but it’s the experience that keeps you coming back.
On any given Saturday, Landry Vineyards feels less like a winery and more like a place people naturally gather. Music drifts across the hills, families settle in with blankets and lawn chairs, and conversations stretch just a little longer than planned. It’s the kind of place where you come for the wine - but end up staying for everything else.
What started as a vision has grown into something much bigger than a vineyard. Over the years, Landry Vineyards has evolved into a destination - one shaped not just by the wines they produce, but by the experiences they’ve created around them.
The vision, even from the beginning, was what you see now. We just needed the right place for it to come to life.Jeff Landry
That vision has taken shape over two decades of steady growth. What began with just a handful of wines has expanded into a diverse portfolio of more than two dozen varieties, along with tours, tastings, concerts, and seasonal events that bring people back again and again.
“When the tasting room first opened, we only had four or five wines,” said Libby Landry. “Now we have more than 25, plus tours, concerts, and events.”
But growth at Landry Vineyards hasn’t been about doing more for the sake of it - it’s been about creating something meaningful and sustainable. Over time, the Landrys refined their approach, focusing on what mattered most: producing wine and building an experience around it.
“We are a wine producer. That’s who we are,” Jeff said. “Everything we do is meant to support that.”
That clarity has shaped the way the vineyard has evolved, particularly when it comes to events. Live music, now a signature part of the Landry Vineyards experience, wasn’t just an addition - it was a natural extension of what wineries do best: bring people together.
“Music brings people together,” Jeff said simply.
Over the years, those gatherings have taken many forms. Large-scale concerts once drew crowds in the thousands, while today’s lineup includes a mix of bigger events and smaller, more intimate performances throughout the spring and fall.
“Some people love the big concerts, but others really enjoy the smaller, more intimate events,” Libby said. “There’s something for everybody.”
That same philosophy extends to signature events like Stomp Fest, where guests quite literally step into the experience.
“They get in the vat, stomp the grapes, and leave with footprints on a t-shirt - it’s something they remember and come back for year after year,” Libby said.
It’s these kinds of moments - simple, memorable, a little unexpected - that have helped define Landry Vineyards as more than a place to taste wine. It’s a place to create memories.
Behind it all is a balance of craft and curiosity. Winemaking, as Jeff describes it, is both science and art, shaped over time by experience, experimentation, and a willingness to listen - to the land, to the process, and to the people who keep coming back.
That openness has led to a wide range of wines, from traditional dry reds to blends that reflect local tastes and influences. Some ideas come from years of refinement; others from conversations, suggestions, or simply a moment of inspiration. The result is a collection that feels both intentional and approachable.
And while the wine is at the heart of it all, the experience doesn’t stop at the tasting room. In recent years, the Landrys have expanded the property to include cottages and RV accommodations, inviting guests to stay longer and fully immerse themselves in the setting.
“It’s about getting people here and giving them a great experience,” Jeff said.
For Libby, much of that experience comes down to the people.

Visitors often arrive with curiosity - and leave with surprise.
“People tell me all the time, ‘I had no idea you were actually growing grapes out here,’” Libby said.
That sense of discovery is part of what makes Landry Vineyards special. There’s an authenticity to it - something you can see, taste, and feel - that resonates with guests whether they’re from down the road or across the country.
“People don’t have a lot of time to recreate,” Jeff said. “So it’s a privilege to be part of how they spend that time.”
It’s a perspective that has quietly guided the vineyard’s growth - one that values not just what’s being built, but how it’s experienced.
Looking ahead, the Landrys aren’t focused on changing what they’ve created, but on continuing it - refining the wines, strengthening their team, and ensuring that what they’ve built carries forward.
For now, though, the focus remains on the present: welcoming guests, pouring another glass, and creating a place where people can gather, celebrate, and stay a little longer than they planned.
“We just want people to come, have a good experience, and enjoy everything we offer,” Libby said.
And on any given Saturday, that’s exactly what they do.
