A Love Letter to Monroe-West Monroe
More Than a Host City: Miss Louisiana’s Home in MWM
Dear Monroe-West Monroe, from your friendly waves to your small-town charm, you’ve given me more than just a place to live. You’ve given me a community that feels like home. The kind of home where people know your name, cheer you on, and believe in your dreams as much as you do. Whether I was grabbing coffee before an event, shopping along Antique Alley, or just taking in the view at Kiroli Park, you’ve reminded me to slow down and soak in the beauty around me.
Being Miss Louisiana has been the honor of a lifetime, and this community welcomed me with open arms and open hearts. I’ve laughed until I cried at community events, danced through parades with pure joy, and felt supported by the people who make this city shine. You fully and completely loved me, and that’s the most beautiful gift of all.
Working with the Discover Monroe-West Monroe team has been such a blessing. I’ve had the chance to experience both cities in a whole new way. I have loved getting a behind-the-scenes look at all the heart, planning, and passion that goes into promoting our community. From festivals to food spots to hidden gems, I’ve learned so much about what makes tourism thrive here. It’s been inspiring to see how every event and every effort is rooted in a deep love for this area, and I’m so grateful to be a small part of sharing that story.
Thank you, Monroe-West Monroe, for being more than the twin cities. Thank you for being a place that lifts people up, that celebrates the little things, and that reminds me every day what matters most.
I love you more than words can say.

Here’s some of my favorites!
When it comes to breakfast, Corner Coffee & Provisions is my go-to spot! I always order an Iced Bell Lane with oat milk and the Elvis Açaí Bowl. The service is incredibly kind, and the coffee is some of the best around. I also love stopping by Standard Coffee Co. in Downtown Monroe for a delicious coffee and one of their amazing cinnamon rolls.
For activities, I’m a huge fan of Antique Alley; if you know me, you know I love thrifting and antique shopping, and this place always has the best knick-knacks and unique finds. Another favorite is The Trove, one of the best gift shops in the Monroe-West Monroe area, filled with handcrafted items and pieces from local artists. I also cherish my time at Tribe31, a beautiful community of supportive women all working toward their personal goals.
For an afternoon pick-me-up, I’ve been obsessed with dirty sodas from Soda Jerk - The Hepburn is a must-try! And for a sweet treat, Butter Bakery offers gluten-free goodies that are both stunning and delicious. When dinner rolls around, Warehouse No. 1 is a top choice, with live music, a waterfront view, and unforgettable dishes like the duck wraps and blackened fish with crawfish étouffée. Jay Pappa’s is another favorite, a creole restaurant that pairs flavorful dishes with a gorgeous river view. Lastly, Catahoula’s offers a perfect blend of Louisiana-inspired cuisine and a scenic bayou backdrop.
