Discover Monroe-West Monroe Announces $50k for 50 – The Ouachita Experience Fund

MONROE-WEST MONROE, La. – Discover Monroe-West Monroe (DMWM) is announcing the $50k for 50 – The Ouachita Experience Fund for businesses and organizations creating tourism-related projects.

The fund is a competitive funding opportunity administrated by the tourism bureau to support new ideas and innovative initiatives that enhance visitors experience and generate economic impact in Ouachita Parish.

The purpose of this grant program is to encourage innovative ideas, experiences, attractions and improvements that attract visitors, increase overnight stays and strengthen the tourism economy of Ouachita Parish.

DMWM has made $50,000 available for distribution. More than a few projects may be funded depending on the number and quality of applications received. Once the application is approved, applicants will have 12 months to finish the project.

Applicants may request funding based on project's needs. DMWM reserves the right to award full or partial funding.

Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, for-profit businesses, government entities, educational institutions, community organizations and tourism-related attractions.
