DISCOVER MONROE-WEST MONROE HOSTS HOSPITALITY TRAINING
Monroe-West Monroe, LA – Team Monroe-West Monroe is ready for the game! Hospitality training sessions were held May 24th – May 26th. These fun one-hour training sessions taught staff at local attractions and hotels how to create a winning experience for their visitors. Sessions were held at the Discover Monroe-West Monroe office at 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm each day.
“Our first impression for our community is extremely important to the overall community. As our visitors are greeted with friendly customer service and information about all the great places to eat, shop, and discover in Monroe-West Monroe, they have a better experience. This leads to a greater economic impact expenditure by the guests,” said Alana Cooper, President/CEO of Discover Monroe-West Monroe.
Attendees learned from the Team Monroe-West Monroe Playbook and training sessions covered tips and tricks for showing hospitality in different scenarios. Attendees also learned about the chance to participate in Discover Monroe-West Monroe’s “I got Caught Being Nice” initiative. This initiative will highlight employees who have showcased excellent customer service.
“We are excited to have the opportunity to help our attendees understand the importance of hospitality training and to provide them with the best possible tools to administer it,” said Dianna Demoss, First Impressions Manager at Discover Monroe-West Monroe.
