Discover Monroe-West Monroe Introduces Six Ways to Celebrate 318 Day

MONROE-WEST MONROE, La. – Discover Monroe-West Monroe (DMWM) announces six ways the Twin Cities can celebrate 318 Day on March 18, 2026.

The area code 318 represents the location where residents in Ouachita Parish live and work. On this day, we’re introducing six ways locals can play, while they also live and work!

1. DMWM completed two sessions of audio booth recordings at two local coffee shops in downtown Monroe and West Monroe, where the community shared what they love about the Twin Cities. On March 18, the staff is releasing a special video filled with a compilation of those recordings on DMWM’s Facebook, Instagram and YouTube channel. Hear the featured voices that were recorded at the coffee shops!

2. Pick up the #318Day coloring sheet at the visitors’ center at 601 Constitution Drive, West Monroe, LA 71292 or download it here. The community can bring their finished sheet from March 18-20 to receive a small prize.

3. Be the “1” in the “318.” Large “3” and “8” wooden numbers will be on display in Monroe at Palace Park and in West Monroe at Alley Park. Food trucks will be on-site at Alley Park on 318 Day!

4. Highlight something special about the 318 on your social media platforms. The staff will be active on DMWM’s social media that day. Be sure to tag the page! DMWM is @discovermonroewestmonroe on Instagram and Discover Monroe-West Monroe on Facebook. Use hashtags #DiscoverMWM and #318Day.

5. Listen to the official MWM 318 Day Playlist on Spotify!

6. DMWM has partnered with local businesses in the Twin Cities to offer discounts or 318 Day specials. View our list of participating attractions, restaurants and shops and help us celebrate everything about living in the 318.
