Discover Monroe-West Monroe Seeks Accessibility Assistance for 2026 Spring Event

MONROE-WEST MONROE, La. ― Discover Monroe-West Monroe (DMWM) is preparing to welcome teams and families for the National Wheelchair Basketball Championships this spring, happening at the West Monroe Sports & Events facility during a two-week period: March 19-22 & March 26-29, 2026.

Many of our visitors will be wheelchair users or individuals with mobility needs, and we want to be intentional about how we serve them while they’re here.

We are seeking residents, advocates, or organizations who live with or work closely with physical accessibility challenges and would be willing to share insights about Monroe-West Monroe — from accessible restaurants and attractions to transportation, parking, and public spaces that truly work well.
