DMWM and NLCTA Hosting Joint 13th Consecutive LHSAA State Tennis Championships
First major event taking place at Forsythe Tennis Center

MONROE, LA. ― Discover Monroe-West Monroe (DMWM) and the Northeast Louisiana Community Tennis Association (NLCTA) is set to host the Louisiana High School Athletic Association Tennis Championships.

The championship is taking place April 28-May 2, 2025, at Forsythe Tennis Center and ULM’s Heard Stadium. It’s a weeklong event bringing approximately 1,000 student-athletes, spectators, school administrators and coaches to the Monroe-West Monroe area.

DMWM and NLCTA will host four divisions: Divisions I and II will take place on Monday, April 28 at ULM’s Heard Stadium and Forsythe Tennis Center, with the semi-final and championship matches held at Forsythe Tennis Center on Tuesday, April 29.

Divisions III and IV will occur on Thursday, May 1 at ULM’s Heard Stadium and Forsythe Tennis Center, with the semi-final and final matches happening at Forsythe Tennis Center on Friday, May 2. Matches will begin each day at 8 am.

“This tournament is a great opportunity to showcase all the Monroe-West Monroe area has to offer. We value our partnership with the LHSAA and look forward to working with them in the future,” said President of the CTA, Kathryn Waters.

The economic impact for Ouachita Parish is roughly $620,850.31 from this weeklong competition. The tournament participants are expected to use 1,100 hotel rooms.
This year’s LHSAA State Tennis Championships makes it the first major event happening at the Forsythe Tennis Center.
