DMWM to Host 14th Consecutive LHSAA State Tennis Championships
MONROE, LA. ― Discover Monroe-West Monroe (DMWM) is hosting the 2026 Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) Tennis Championships, which began Monday, April 27, 2026.
The championship will continue through Friday, May 1 at Forsythe Park Tennis Complex and ULM’s Heard Stadium. It’s a weeklong event bringing approximately 1,000 student-athletes, spectators, school administrators, and coaches to the Monroe-West Monroe area.
DMWM and LHSAA will host 4 divisions:

“There are four divisions that compete in the state tournament. Discover Monroe-West Monroe, in partnership with the Community Tennis Association, has been hosting these events for over 10 years. It takes a coordinated effort and a big group of volunteers to make this a success. We are grateful to the LHSAA for giving us this opportunity,” said State Tournament Director, Kathryn Waters.
The economic impact for Ouachita Parish is roughly $535,268.89 from this weeklong competition. The tournament participants are expected to use 1,175 hotel rooms.
