Fifth Anniversary of NCHBC Gulf Coast District Homeschool Championships Coming to West Monroe

WEST MONROE, La. – The National Christian HomeSchool Basketball Championships (NCHBC) 2026 Gulf Coast District Homeschool Championships is happening this weekend in West Monroe.

The scheduled tournament commemorates the championship’s 5th anniversary, and will take place on Jan. 16 -17 2026, at the West Monroe Sports & Events facility.

Sixty-four (64) teams from 17 organizations are participating across several age groups, including Boys and Girls 18u, 16u, 14u, and Boys 12u. The participating organizations are from parts of Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, and Mississippi – helping to create an expected economic impact of $221,330.36 for Ouachita Parish for the weekend.

“This tournament provides an avenue for homeschool student-athletes and their families to connect with others from various states and cities. The athletes competing in this tournament and our other national tournaments demonstrate a high level of skill and athleticism. We would welcome the opportunity to have you join us to see the current state of homeschool athletics,” said NCHBC Seeding Director Jeremy Caldwell.

The entry fees are:

• Two-Day Family Pass (Parents and children): $60.00
• Two-Day Individual Pass: $20.00
