The Hotel Monroe Becomes the First Certified Gluten-Free Hotel in U.S.
Attracting Travel Writers and Gluten-Free Influencer

MONROE, La. ― The Hotel Monroe, a hotel within Hilton’s Tapestry Collection, is the first 100% gluten-free full-service hotel in the U.S., certified by the Gluten-Free Food Program (GFFP).

With the certification being endorsed by the National Celiac Association (NCA), the hotel’s Heirloom Restaurant, Star Bar and Opera House Events are all certified under GFFP standards – making weddings, galas, corporate gatherings and all other catered functions and celebrations a safe choice for guests with celiac disease and gluten sensitivities. It sets a new national benchmark in hospitality.

The hotel points out its beverage transparency, reminding guests that while the food program is completely gluten-free, some beverages, including bottle beers, bourbons, vodkas and other spirts – may contain gluten.

The hotel welcomed NYC-based gluten-free travel influencer Alexis Decker with Travel + Leisure in June 2026 for a stay two-night stay, where she experienced brunch and lunch at Heirloom Restaurant, watched the team in the kitchen prepare signature gluten-free dishes, and enjoyed cocktails at the Star Bar. Ahead of the International Food, Wine & Travel Writers Association conference in October 2025, The Hotel Monroe hosted travel writers Debbra Dunning Brouillette, Cheré Coen, Tamara MC and Adrienne Cohen for a dinner during their media FAM trip in Monroe-West Monroe.
