Two Tourism Grants Open to Eligible Organizations
Due by July 31

MONROE-WEST MONROE, La. ― Discover Monroe-West Monroe’s (DMWM) Tourism Development & Marketing Grant and Capital Outlay Improvement Grant applications are due July 31, 2026.

This tourism development grant is part of DMWM’s bi-annual grant cycle for 501 (c) organizations in compliance with the procedures in this Tourism Development Program.

The grant is available to existing Ouachita Parish based 501(c) organizations marketing their event to attract out-of-town visitors to the parish, expand the visitor experience and grow the local travel economy.

The Tourism Event & Marketing Grant was established to enhance the economic impact of tourism in the Ouachita Parish community. It’s a reimbursement grant and not created to cover the entire cost of an event.

Funds from the grant will assist any approved 501 (c) organization or non-profit with new events or marketing for increased overnight stays in Ouachita Parish. Priority will be given to establish new, creative projects and events, creating a minimum of 50 room nights.

The Capital Outlay Improvement Grant is open to nonprofit organizations under Section 501 of the Internal Revenue Code and tourism-related partners whose projects support the mission and direction of the tourism bureau.

This grant is a long-term investment of over $100,000.00 in physical assets that enhance, expand or improve a facility, attraction or public space that supports tourism in Ouachita Parish. More details about the Capital Outlay Improvement Grant can be found here.
