West Monroe Gar Rodeo presented by Honey Hole
A gar rodeo is a unique fishing tournament focused on catching one of Louisiana’s most ancient and rugged fish - the gar. Anglers compete in various divisions like jug fishing, pole fishing, bowfishing, and even youth categories. Whether you’re on the water or cheering from the shore, a gar rodeo is a wild ride through local fishing culture.

- 5:00 PM: Fisherman Registration in Alley Park
- 6:30 PM: Anglers' meeting in Alley Park
- 7:00 PM: Shotgun Start in Alley Park
- 10:00 PM: Weigh-in begins at Lazarre Park
- Ouachita Live Concert
- 7:00 PM: Bring the whole family and enjoy a live concert in Alley Park! Food trucks, snow cones, and more will be on site! Don't miss out.
Saturday, August 30th

- 10:00 AM: Fishing Ends and Final Weigh-in at Lazarre Park
- 10:30 AM: Fish Toss in Grassy Lot by Flying Heart Brewing & Pub.
- 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Coffee Truck & Snow Cones in Alley Park.
- 11:00 AM: Awards in Alley Park/Raffle Prizes.

Duck Commander Sunday: Honoring the Life & Legacy of Phil Robertson
Join Duck Commander on August 31 from 10:00 AM – 7:30 PM for a special day celebrating the life and legacy of Phil Robertson, the original Duck Commander. Enjoy a full day of worship, food trucks, live music, special guests, and vendor booths. This free event is open to all - come out and be part of a celebration you won’t forget!
