Battle of the Badges 2025

The police force and firefighters are going head-to-head in a night of thrilling fights. Monroe City Battle of the Badges is a non-profit amateur boxing show that features policemen versus firemen from all over the south. Don’t miss this chance to witness the Battle of the Badges!
NELA Music Awards
August 14th, 7pm - 9pm
Head to the Monroe Civic Center for the 2025 NELA Music Awards! This will be a night to honor and recognize the amazing local talent of the Northeast Louisiana area and the venues they perform at. With live entertainment by local musicians to top it off, this show is sure to be a fun evening for everyone!
One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest

Josh Madden Productions is excited to bring you their production of “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”! This stage play is based on Ken Kesey's classic bestselling novel and will be performed from August 20th - 23rd at 7pm.
ULM Color Run 5K
August 23rd, 7am - 12pm
Join the ULM Doctor of Physical Therapy Program for the ULM Color Run 5K! A kid's area with games and face painting will be available so parents can enjoy the race while their little ones have fun. They will also have vendors and local businesses set up at the event, offering great opportunities to shop, network, and support the community. All proceeds from Miles for Motion will support student-led community engagement and outreach initiatives.
West Monroe Gar Rodeo and Boat & Outdoor Expo
August 28th - 30th
A gar rodeo is a unique fishing tournament focused on catching one of Louisiana’s most ancient and rugged fish - the gar. Anglers compete in various divisions like jug fishing, pole fishing, bowfishing, and even youth categories. During the Gar Rodeo, West Monroe Sports & Events will host a Boat & Outdoor Expo showcasing everything you need for the great outdoors. There’s something for everyone during these events, so bring your family and friends to West Monroe for a fun-filled weekend!

ULM Football vs. St. Francis

Grab your Warhawk gear–ULM Football is back! Catch their season-opener at home against the Saint Francis Red Flashes. The theme for this game is whiteout, so come decked in white and ready to cheer on the Warhawks!
Ouachita Live

Join Downtown West Monroe for another fabulous evening of Ouachita Live outdoor concert series! Ouachita Live is a free downtown concert held the last Friday of the month from March through October in Alley Park. Remember to bring your own chair! A food truck, beer, and wine will be on-site.
