DMWM Announces Deadline Extension for Tourism Event & Marketing Grant Applications

501(c) organizations must submit applications by February 6

MONROE-WEST MONROE, La. ― Discover Monroe-West Monroe announces the extension of the Tourism Event & Marketing Grant applications due to recent storm damages.

All applications must be submitted by Friday, February 6, 2026.

The grant is available to existing Ouachita Parish based 501(c) organizations marketing their event to attract out-of-town visitors to the parish, expand the visitor experience and grow the local travel economy.

The Tourism Event & Marketing Grant was established to enhance economic impact of tourism in the Ouachita Parish community. It’s a reimbursement grant and not created to cover the entire cost of an event.

Funds from the grant will assist any approved 501 (c) organization or non-profit with new events or marketing for increased overnight stays in Ouachita Parish. Priority will be given to establish new, creative projects and events creating a minimum of 50 room nights.

Due to recovery efforts from Winter Storm Fern, the West Monroe-West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce is open during regular office hours, and the facility is serving as a resource hub for businesses still experiencing disruption. Reliable Wi-Fi and workspace are available for those needing a place to work and submit materials by the deadline. The Monroe Chamber of Commerce is also available to businesses impacted that are in need of communication assistance with customers, identifying local resources and speaking through a specific concern.
